Cottar's 1920s Safari Camp

Situated in the Masai Mara, the Cottar Safari tradition began in 1919 and nearly 90 years on is still the premiere safari experience in Africa, evoking a bygone era and the original romance of the ‘safari’, remaining true to the traditions of adventure, grandeur and elegance.

The Mara is renowned for its open grassland, rivers and streams but Cottars is in the South East where the landscape is one of rolling hills, forested valleys and hidden corners. In an unspoiled exclusive wildlife concession bordering the Serengeti and Loliondo reserves, the area guarantees privacy and an abundance of wildlife.

The camp accommodates up to 22 guests in genuine white canvas tents, all of which are spacious and tastefully furnished with genuine safari antiques from the 1920s.
