Amansara

Amansara

Within easy reach of Angkor Wat, Amansara Cambodia is situated in what was once living quarters for guests of the king. Built in New Khmer style, Amansara is a prime example of local 1960s architecture, featuring a curved swimming pool and monochrome decor. If you want to explore Angkor Archaeological Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site, Amansara can provide a comfortable base that’s brimming with character.

Sandstone artwork

All accommodation at Amansara takes the form of luxurious, spacious suites. All boast their own, private outdoor spaces, from a courtyard to a garden complete with plunge pool. Decorated with shimmery black woods and cream soft furnishings with accents of gold, suites feature sculpted, sandstone artworks that echo the Angkor ruins nearby. Contemporary Suites offer open-plan accommodation that includes a seating area, while Courtyard Suites have a larger outdoor area complete with cushioned seating. Pool Suites come with their own plunge pool. All suites are spacious, comfortable and flooded with natural light.

Cambodian dining

The restaurant at Amansara makes the most of fresh local ingredients and Cambodian flavours, and the menu changes daily. The round, streamlined room is open to the outdoors, and features high ceilings that add to the feeling of space. Alternatively, Amansara offers private dining at a Khmer house in Angkor, owned by the resort. Charcoal grilled dishes are prepared here, in a classic Cambodian village setting. We can also arrange a dining experience inside a temple, with live music to accompany your meal.

Khmer-style spa

If you need to unwind after a busy day exploring the ancient ruins of this historic region, why not indulge in an exfoliating body scrub, using a unique blend of Khmer herbs? You may also enjoy a dip in the lap pool, or benefit from personalised yoga tuition, before relaxing in the steam baths or showers.
