Anantara Layan Phuket Resort

Anantara Layan Phuket Resort

On the tropical Thai island of Phuket lies a luxury hideaway, right by the Andaman sea. This is Anantara Layan Phuket Resort, a five-star sanctuary with ocean views, where you can watch or learn Muay Thai boxing and attend Thai cookery classes, as well as enjoying refined Thai food and holistic, heavenly treatments at the on-site spa.

The great outdoors

Rooms, suites, villas and residences offer panoramic views over this island paradise. All have outdoor spaces, so you can truly make the most of the tranquil atmosphere and balmy weather. Deluxe Rooms include Apple TV, Nespresso machine and Terrazzo bathtub plus rain shower, while Deluxe Layan Suites have even more space. Deluxe and Family Pool Villas have their own plunge pools, while open-air dining salas, private gardens and beachfront locations are available with Sala, Layan and Antara Villas. Glossy, natural woods are a feature of the decor, which has soothing neutral hues with accents in rich, royal shades of purple and gold.

A Thai feast of your own making

You can learn Thai cookery at Anantara Layan. Your teacher will first take you to the local markets for fresh produce, before returning to the open-air kitchen to guide you through the preparation of delicious dishes - which you can then take away to savour together. If you’d rather let someone else do the cooking, the restaurants at Anantara Layan will not disappoint. Mediterranean food is available all day at Sala Layan, or enjoy a snack, cocktail or chilled beer by the pool at Breeze. Dee Lee series up exquisite Thai dishes, after which you can head to The Mojito Factory for after-dinner drinks.

A satisfying spa experience

If that’s not enough, the Anantara Layan spa is sure to satisfy. With treatment rooms, a private pool, steam rooms, beauty and nail salon and a relaxation zone, experienced therapists can treat you to soothing, revitalised rituals using Elemis products.
