Cameron Highlands Resort

Cameron Highlands Resort

Housed in a magnificent, original colonial building, Cameron Highlands Resort offers a fabulous base from which to explore this fascinating region of Malaysia. Traditional English grace blends seamlessly with attentive Asian service at this imposing property, harking back to the area’s hill station days. This sophisticated hotel makes for a lovely highland hideaway, in which to savour English charm in a charismatic Asian setting.

Colonial rooms with a view

From Deluxe Rooms to the signature two-bedroom Cameron and Jim Thompson Suites, accommodation at Cameron Highlands Resort comprises colonial style rooms with polished wood floors, furnished with teak and adorned with fine silk fabrics. Rooms have dedicated seating areas, overlooking the balcony and the resort, golf course or hills beyond. A particular feature of this hotel is the original plantation shutters, which add a delightful measure of character to the property - inside and out. Both signature suites share a spacious lounge apiece, which is situated between the two bedrooms.

East meets West

Old-fashioned English charm combines with both delicate and fiery Asian flavours at
Cameron Highlands Resort’s range of eateries. A highlight is afternoon tea in the Jim Thompson Tea Room, where you can save locally produced teas from the highlands alongside fresh strawberries, scones, cakes and pastries. East meets West at The Dining Room, where a selection of authentic Malaysian dishes is offered as well as Western favourites. Gonbei, meanwhile, serves up Asian noodles, meat, seafood and vegetables to cook as you wish in a simmering, aromatic hotpot. Later, you may retire to the Highlands Bar for a wee dram or colourful cocktail.

Locally inspired

Local ingredients and ancient, healing rituals are the stars at Spa Village Cameron Highlands. Tea, of course, is used, and the wisdom of the original jungle people provides inspiration for the range of holistic treatments offered at this deluxe, serene spa facility.
