South America

South America Luxury Holidays

The Most Diverse Continent On Earth

Welcome to the vibrant New World

South America stretches from the steamy jungles of the Amazon, to the rugged peaks of Patagonia, and contains lost ruins, the driest desert on earth and iconic cities

Argentina

Perhaps the most European corner of South America, the chic cities and sophisticated inhabitants may make you think of Paris or Rome, yet this is a fiercely South American country.

Brazil

The sheer size of Brazil is inspiring, yet despite its size you are never far away from a party in Brazil, and soaking up the music, dance and colour is surely a highlight.

Chile

Clinging to the edge of the continent with geographic boundaries that square off against each other to create one of the most stunningly beautiful countries on earth.

Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

Visitors to Ecuador are invariably drawn to the biodiversity of the Galapagos, which truly is a haven for wildlife.

Peru

This historic nation is home to one of the modern wonders of the world - Machu Picchu. Although obviously a highlight there is so much more to be discovered in this fascinating country.

Incredible experiences await you in South America, from the Andean peaks and the Amazonian rainforest, through to the Patagonian glaciers and Incan ruins. At Azure, our holidays can take you to Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Ecuador. Choose from the many luxury hotels in South American and enjoy first class food and accommodation in beautiful locations.

Chile

Chile is a land of extremes – a thin, long strip of land with deserts, fertile valleys, volcanoes, ancient forests and glaciers.

‘Those who hurry waste their time’ is a common Patagonian saying, which sums up Chile’s laid-back vibe. Take your time exploring the variety of diverse natural landscapes on foot, bike or horseback and soak up the scenery of some of South America’s most pristine areas.

No holiday to Chile is complete without visiting one of the country’s famous vineyards, where you can spend a day sampling rich reds, crisp whites and floral rosés.

Argentina

Argentina is synonymous with tango dancing, delicious grilled meat and horse-riding gauchos.

The capital city, Buenos Aires, is where history and modernity meet. Spend a day wandering around avenues lined with colourful buildings, eating in traditional restaurants and experiencing the vibrant nightlife.

For spectacular landscapes, visit Los Glaciares National park to explore its rugged granite peaks and glacial lakes, or head to the region around Salta, where burnt desert valleys lead to dazzling white salt flats. If you want a taste of the cowboy life, ride horseback around Estancia Peuma Hue and stay in an eco-lodge.

Brazil

As well as being a carnival country, Brazil has an abundance of stunning landscapes on offer. From white sand beaches to dense rainforests, you’ll never be stuck for something to see or do. Brazil is also home to a diverse range of wildlife, including toucans, macaws, monkeys, dolphins and sea turtles.

One of the country’s most famous attractions is the huge statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. The climb up Sugarloaf Mountain is well worth it to enjoy the panoramic views across the city.

Peru

Notable for its ancient sites, Peru attracts flocks of tourists year-round to see the glorious Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, located high in the mountains. Another must-see site is the Chan Chan – the largest pre-Columbian ruins in South America. Nature-lovers will relish the chance to explore Peru’s beautiful mountains, the Amazon river and the lush forests with their vast variety of wildlife.

It’s not just historical remains and breathtaking nature that awaits you in Peru. The cities are home to an array of lavish hotels and modern restaurants, providing you with some of the best luxury South America has to offer.

Ecuador

Ecuador, as its Spanish name indicates, is located on the equator. Although it’s one of the smallest countries in South America, there’s no shortage of things to do. Visit traditional Quechua villages, get lost in the mysterious Amazonian rainforest or trek the majestic Andes.

To the west of Ecuador are the famous Galapagos islands, home to some of the world’s most unique animal species. With such a range of rare and fascinating wildlife, it’s easy to see how these islands inspired Charles Darwin to formulate his theory of evolution.
