EOLO

EOLO

Commanding uninterrupted views over a 10,000-acre estancia of phenomenal beauty, EOLO sits between Los Glaciares National Park and El Calafate in Southern Patagonia.

All about the views

Each of the EOLO hotel's lovely 17 rooms make the breathtaking landscape their main focus, with elegant seating areas facing floor to ceiling windows, inviting you to drink in the endless horizons of this unspoilt, wild area. Rooms feature antique furniture, subtle colours and soft, luxurious linens and provide a haven of comfort as you revel in stunning sunrises and spectacular sunsets.

Simple luxury

The magical views continue in the public areas, designed around a lovely central garden that offers protection from the wind and creates an oasis of peace at the heart of the hotel. The architecture and styling here reflect that of simple creole houses, elevated to impressive levels of modern luxury.

Enjoy a blend of local and European flavours in the restaurant, relax with a glass of fine Argentinian wine in the bar, or simply sit in peace in the lounge areas, all whilst being delightfully connected to the magnificence of the surrounding scenery through towering windows.

Vast skies

To fully appreciate the vastness and beauty of the Patagonian Steppe, the hotel offers local expert guides to take you on an organised trek, a magical horseback ride, a thrilling mountain bike trip or a group bird watching session. Four-wheel drive tours take you further afield and for many guests, a trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier is a must, as is a boat trip on Lago Argentino to see the remarkable Upsala glacier.

Much of what EOLO offers is intangible; peace, tranquillity, a chance to reconnect with the magnificence of nature and the overriding sense of wellbeing one derives from experiencing a place of such epic scale and beauty.

When to travel
Due to its location in the southern hemisphere, Argentina’s seasons are the opposite of ours, meaning most people travel during the southern summer of November to April. This is especially true for Patagonia where hotels and lodges generally close during their winter. Northern Argentina can be visited all year round.
How to get there
British Airways operate a daily direct route to Buenos Aires which take around 14 hours. Other routes are available via European hubs and from regional airports in the UK.
