Giraffe Manor

Giraffe Manor

Set in a private 12-acre estate, within 140 acres of indigenous Kenyan forest, the striking 1930s Giraffe Manor house exudes luxury. Its elegantly appointed interiors transport you to another world of opulence.

Each of the 12 rooms boast large windows for a fresh and airy feel. Cool linens drape the four-poster beds. Suites are decorated in a neutral palette to complete the peaceful vibe of the hotel. The hotel offers all guests full board for their stay with all meals and most drinks included during the stay.

Giraffe encounters with a difference

The Giraffe Manor is so-named for its particular relationship with these remarkable animals. Set in a reserve dedicated to the protection and preservation of the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, the manor is in the roaming spot of these delicate and mesmerising creatures. Marvel as they wander around the manor, poking their head in to the windows. You might even have a chance to feed them from bowls or from your hand.

Explore the reserve

It is possible to arrange 4x4 drives to explore the local area. Or, head out on a guided walk to explore the reserve at a slower pace. Horse riding your way through the park is another way to see its expanse. The Giraffe Manor is near to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust & Elephant Orphanage. Here you can learn more about elephants and conservation in the area. If the fancy takes you, you can even adopt an elephant. Head to the local markets to pick up artisanal souvenirs. For the more adventurous, why not organise a helicopter excursion to explore the park from the skies?

Conservation opportunities

The Giraffe Manor is committed to sustainability and living in harmony with its surroundings. Basing your stay at this unique place means that you are able to contribute to supporting this work.
