Governors Il Moran Camp

Governors Il Moran Camp

The Governors’ Il Moran camp is the perfect way to experience Kenyan hospitality at its finest whilst having a great adventure. The camp comprises 10 luxury tents lining the Mara River and is nestled in ancient Masai Mara forest. Choosing this camp as the base for your Kenyan safari adventure will give you a taste of extraordinary, wild luxury.

A night under the canvas

Furniture here has been created by local craftsmen from olive wood. East African fabrics adorn the beautifully carved wooden bedframes. The tents feature Victorian-style bath tubs for a real taste of opulence. The light and airy tents are open enough to give you a sense of space, whilst being cosy enough to afford you privacy when you need it. Full board food and drink is included in your stay. Enjoy sitting outside around the campfire watching the sunset whilst enjoying a refreshing beer.

Heading on a game drive

Three game drives are organised every day at the camp. The Masai Mara is a great place to come face to face with the Big Five - lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalo - though birds, hippos and giraffes might also be spied from your guided 4x4 vehicle. Snacks and drinks are provided on your game drives. More adventurous travellers can head off on a hot air balloon safari to see the expansive Masai Mara from the skies.

Camping in utmost comfort

All camps have Wi-Fi, electricity sockets and USB charging points, so it is easy to stay in touch with the outside world - if you want to! Tents have their own bathrooms with running water and flushing toilets. Specially trained chefs make dinner for you to eat at the riverside under the stars. Head to the bar for an evening cocktail and to exchange stories with other travellers about your day.
