Hotel B

Hotel B

Whether it’s the perfect location close to the seaside, being in the heart of the bohemian Barranco District of Lima, the stunning Belle Epoque architecture, or the superb restaurant, there are many reasons why a stay at the grand Hotel B is a special experience.

Elegant and iconic

The building itself was designed in 1914 by Claude Sahut, the French architect responsible for the remodelling of Lima's wide avenues and its Government Palace. Now beautifully restored and modernised, the hotel has retained the iconic pristine-white frontage and the soaring ceiling heights that give the interior its feeling of grandeur and stature.

Past and present in harmony

Guest rooms here make the most of the building's beautiful bone structure; tall windows, symmetrical proportions and dark wood floors are complemented by a subtle colour palette, luxurious fine linens and sleek bathrooms. The public areas manage to be imposing yet comfortable, sophisticated yet welcoming, and the fascinating artworks by contemporary Peruvian artists adorning the walls give the sense that Hotel B is equally proud of its historic past and the exciting, creative city that Lima is today.

Gastronomic pleasures

Oscar Velarde's signature restaurant at Hotel B serves a blend of traditional Peruvian ingredients and Mediterranean flavours, and his cuisine is all about celebrating primary ingredients in a way that is unfussy, simple and delicious. Afternoon tea is a must; relax on a sofa in the Sala, drink in the atmosphere of La Biblioteca or people watch on El Patio whilst indulging in decadent traditional sweets and rich Peruvian hot chocolate. Enjoy early evening cocktails in the sophisticated bar or browse the superb wine selection.

Ideally placed to explore the Barranco's vibrant streets and lovely colonial architecture, you will soon appreciate why this area is now home to many of Peru's premier artists, musicians and writers, and Hotel B is the perfect spot from which to explore.
