Hotel Lungarno

Hotel Lungarno

Refurbished in 2017, there has never been a better time to stay at the wonderful Hotel Lungarno. Perched on the river Arno with the stunning Ponte Vecchio in the background, a nautical theme of cool whites and marine blues infuses the décor of the hotel.

A haul of 450 pieces of contemporary modern art adorns the walls of the hotel, while rooms, suites and studios are classically furnished. Many rooms boast fantastic views of the river and some enjoy their own private terrace.

Dining in style

It’s no surprise that these stylish rooms are accompanied by some excellent dining options. Hotel Lungarno is delighted to offer its Michelin-starred restaurant, Borgo San Jacopo, which serves an opulent menu of exquisite fish, meat and pasta dishes. Afterwards, head to La Terrazza Bar at the top of the nearby Consorti tower for some of the finest views of Florence. The hotel’s Picteau Lounge Bar is also a great place for lighter bites and fabulous cocktails.

Florentine encounters

The Continentale Hotel, on the other side of the river to Lungarno, hosts the White Iris Spa. Soak up a range of massages, beauty treatments and the amazing pro-sleep experience, which offers 60 minutes of pure tranquillity. The hotel’s brilliant concierge team can arrange a number of unique experiences and excursions for guests. If you want to brush up on your photography skills, the Lungarno Leica workshop offers the opportunity to explore the city while picking up some tips on how to use this iconic camera.

If you prefer artisanal craft work, explore the Pampaloni silver factory, where you can learn about the silversmith process and even commission your own pieces. If younger travellers are part of your group, enrol them in the VIK Children Program, where they can see some amazing works of Leonardo Da Vinci and Galileo Galilei, and have fun making their own Italian pizzas.
