Experience these destinations in style
From cutting-edge architecture and energetic cities to lush rainforests and golden beaches, Southeast Asia has something to suit all travellers. We offer luxury holidays to the likes of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and can help you to experience these destinations in style.
With its towering skyscrapers and bustling streets, Singapore is packed with attractions to keep you entertained. Visit the island city’s futuristic Gardens by the Bay, with its soaring 50 metre tall trees, orchids, ferns and other exotic plants. Wander around the Cloud Forest, which features a dramatic waterfall housed in a giant, vegetation-filled greenhouse. For a taste of old Singapore, make your way to Little India complete with its colourful boutiques, bars and restaurants. If you want to get your adrenaline flowing, try the 100mph G-MAX reverse bungy at the Mega Adventure Park.
Previously overshadowed by better known countries in Southeast Asia, Malaysia is increasingly recognised as a top destination among discerning holidaymakers. Its capital Kuala Lumpur showcases everything from contemporary skyscrapers to minarets and Mogul-style domes, while food stalls selling delicious local dishes line the streets. You’ll find everything from supersized shopping malls and trendy night spots to beautifully ornate temples and mosques. Check out the city’s monumental Exchange 106 tower and its iconic Petronas Towers, and make your way to the Central Market to pick up souvenirs and handicrafts.
Elsewhere in Malaysia, you’ll find stunning rainforests and picturesque beaches. Take a cruise around Pulau Perhentian to see the phosphorescent plankton that sparkles by night, or visit the lush Cameron Highlands to sample an array of delicious teas. The limestone formations of the Batu Caves are another must-see, along with the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre.
With its palm-fringed beaches, idyllic islands and iconic temples, it’s no surprise Thailand is such a popular destination. Its capital Bangkok is surely one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world. Check out spiritual buildings including Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Arun and Wat Pho, and take a look at the Grand Palace located in the old city. Sample delicacies from rustic street stalls, dine in rooftop restaurants and take a cruise along the Chao Phraya River. A shopper’s paradise, you can also indulge in some retail therapy in Bangkok’s many malls, boutiques and markets.
Another Thai city well worth visiting is Chiang Mai in the country’s mountainous northern region. It too is steeped in culture and historical splendour. Or perhaps the dense jungle and pristine beaches of Ko Samet is more your thing, while Ko Chang offers fantastic snorkelling and diving opportunities, as well as yoga classes, spa sessions and elephant camps. Ko Samui off the Gulf coast abounds in natural beauty, while the island of Phuket is a mecca for watersports enthusiasts. To get close to nature, it’s hard to beat the Khao Sok National Park in the south of the mainland, where you can see gibbons, tigers, leopards and an array of birds.
