Longitude-131

Longitude-131

Located in the Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park in Australia’s Red Centre, Longitude 131 offers the most luxurious accommodation available in close proximity to Uluru. Longitude 131 is a deluxe desert camp, offering a great base from which to view and explore the Northern Territory’s legendary monolith - as well as the spectacular Kata-Tjuta rock formations.

A desert camp with a difference

Situated among brick-red sand dunes, Longitude 131’s tented pavilions are designed to offer guests a true sense of the majestic Red Centre area - as well as the ultimate in creature comforts. The ever-changing colours of Uluru can be seen from full-length windows, or the sunset observed from a fully furnished outdoor deck. Indigenous art helps to imbibe a pervading sense of place, while custom made furniture provides the perfect place to unfurl and soak up the very special atmosphere while sipping a drink from the complimentary mini bar.

Local flavour

While the finest of modern Australian cuisine is offered at Longitude 131, dishes are also given touches very unique to the local area. Infused with bush tucker indigenous flavours and outback herbs, cuisine gives diners a gastronomic experience that truly reflects this very special place on earth. Fine Australian wines, beers and spirits are specially selected in order to bring out the true flavours of this carefully crafted cuisine. It is served, of course, in an incomparable setting. You can watch the sunset over Uluru and the outback, as you feast on an exquisite dinner or sip a chilled glass of wine.

Yellow clay and desert lime

Spa Kinara at Longitude 131 is, like the rest of the resort - keen to draw upon local influences and ingredients that reflect its outback setting. Scented Emu Bush is used in many treatments, as it has been for centuries by indigenous healers. From Australian desert salts to yellow clay, or Kakadu plum and desert lime, natural Australian ingredients form the basis of the spa’s philosophy and range of rituals.
