Mashpi Lodge

Mashpi Lodge

Located high in the lush green of the Choco Rainforest in Ecuador, it is easy to see why Mashpi Lodge is a member of National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World. This hotel combines beautiful natural surroundings with contemporary luxury and first-class service, offering its guests an indulgent base from which to set out and explore the undiscovered wonders of the encroaching rainforest.

Live in comfort

Mashpi Lodge offers a combination of spacious rooms and suites, each providing guests with all the comforts of home whilst surrounded by some of nature’s most spectacular scenery. Floor-to-ceiling windows enable you to enjoy this setting from the exclusivity of your room whilst amenities such as free Wi-Fi, filtered water and luxury bathrobes keep you connected to the modern world. For added indulgence, choose one of the three spacious Yaku Suites in which you can admire the view from your bathtub.

Fantastic dining

The dining room at the Mashpi Lodge comprises a two storey structure, providing guests with an unparalleled view across the verdant forest all around. The dishes served within this superb dining space are equally breathtaking, with varied breakfasts of fresh fruit, breads, cheeses and cereals and light lunches consisting of soups and sandwiches. In the evening, the dining area becomes more sophisticated with soft lighting and a romantic ambiance, where you can savour creative dishes featuring locally sourced, seasonal produce.

Rainforest recreation

Trek through the jungle foliage and encounter some of the amazing wildlife which calls this forest its home, including howler monkeys and more than 400 species of bird. Admire the wondrous flora and the gushing waterfalls and learn all about the fascinating creatures at the Life Centre. If you’re feeling daring, why not take a ride on the lodge’s famous tandem Sky Bike suspended high in the tree canopy?
