Home from home
At Montage Kapalua Bay, accommodation is referred to as ‘Residences’. This is because rooms come supplied with all the comforts and conveniences of home - such as fully-equipped kitchens, dining and living rooms and even a laundry room. For making the most of the tropical climate, each residence has a spacious, private lanai, complete with outdoor seating and dining areas. The largest residences sleep up to 10 guests, and as such are ideal for sharing the pleasures of a fabulous beach holiday with friends or family.
Hawaiian style dining and drinking
Thanks to the in-residence kitchens, you can of course cater for yourself at Montage Kapalua Bay - but you may not want to. Why not have an exquisite meal delivered direct to your residence, or partake of a private dining experience at the resort’s Cliff House, overlooking Kapalua Bay? Cane and Canoe is Montage Kapalua Bay’s flagship restaurant and offers guests generous portions of the freshest steaks and seafood with sublime sea views. The Hideaway, meanwhile, serves up Hawaiian specialties along with colourful, tropical cocktails. Or for casual dining or drinking poolside, stop by the Hana You Bar.
Body Bliss
Spa Montage Kapalua Bay offers a distinctly Hawaiian spa experience. Using ingredients from the islands’ pineapple plantations or mountains, massages range from Island Body Bliss to Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. For the body, try a Royal renewal or indulge in an Organic Ocean Facial. Wellness classes, meanwhile, offer everything from Aqua Blast to Zumba, so you’ll soon be saying ‘aloha’ to a relaxed, revitalised new you.

When to travel
Hawaii basks in a tropical climate with warm temperatures of between 20°C (68°F) and 30°C (86°F) throughout the year. Perhaps it is best to avoid the wettest months between November and April although rainfall can occur at any time. Interestingly it is quite common for the individual islands to have their own micro-climates, and as a general rule the northeastern parts of the islands are wetter than the south-western regions.
How to get there
Fly to Hawaii from London with British Airways, in just over 17 hours. Flights from London Heathrow to Los Angeles take around 11 hours, with onward flights to Hawaii operated by British Airways partners American Airlines taking around six hours. You can also travel through San Francisco which is a similar time in the air.
