Palazzo Avino

Palazzo Avino

Perched high on the cliffs, Palazzo Avino, Ravello, is a 5 star hotel on the Amalfi coast. Originally a 12th century villa built for Italian nobility, today the hotel offers luxurious accommodation and cutting-edge facilities, while still retaining much of its traditional charm.

Luxury living

All rooms and suites at the hotel feature handmade Vietri tiles, elegant furniture and antique carpets dating back to the 1700s and 1800s. Guests also have access to a range of modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, satellite TV and iPhone docking stations. Suites offer extra space with living rooms and dining areas. For the ultimate in luxury, the Infinto Suite is spread out across two floors, with Bose hi-fi sound in all rooms and a large private outdoor terrace with amazing views of the coast and sea. The recently redecorated Capsule Collection suites have made this 12th century Palazzo even more alluring. Mariella and Attilia Avino asked renowned designer Cristina Celestio to return to the Pink Palace (after the success of the Pink Closet, a boutique within Palazzo Avino) to work across a collection of the hotel’s best suites, and they are just as compelling. The rooms’ internal architecture is beautiful, with marble floors, high vaulted ceilings and gothic-arched openings that break up the various areas within the suites. Celestino has incorporated one of three palettes into each suite, aquamarine, coral and sand, and each interior also features some of the hotel’s collection of fine antiques.

Michelin-star food

Rossellinis restaurant has a Michelin star in recognition of the chef and his team’s passion for offering the finest culinary experience. The restaurant has both an a la carte menu and a tasting menu paired with carefully selected regional wines. For more informal dining, Terrazza Belvedere serves a selection of light bites and fresh pasta with views of the magnificent coastline from the terrace. There’s also the Lobster & Martini bar, which serves excellent lobster with champagne, prosecco and a choice of over 100 martinis.

First-class facilities

The hotel spa specialises in massage and beauty treatments that use natural organic products. It also features a hydro pool, Turkish steam bath and sauna. The garden has a gym with a variety of equipment, as well as a 20-metre swimming pool, both of which boast fantastic views of the sea. The hotel concierge service team can arrange trekking, horse riding, tennis and snorkelling activities. Located 15 minutes from Palazzo Avino, Clubhouse by the Sea, is the place to be during the day with access to the beach platforms, a swimming pool and a restaurant. They can also arrange trips by boat, limousine or helicopter if you want to explore the Amalfi region in style.
