Peabody Hotel

Peabody Hotel

Probably the best-known city in America’s Deep South, Memphis is synonymous with blues music. The Peabody Hotel Memphis offers deluxe accommodation in central Memphis, being located close to all the attractions such as the Gibson Guitar and Rock ’n’ Soul Museums and Beale Street, which is home to many of Memphis’s legendary blues venues.

Downtown style

Just like the hotel itself, rooms and suites at The Peabody Hotel echo the past, while focusing on the present and future, too. The classic decor includes subtle nods to the city itself as well as the blues music scene and the mighty Mississippi. All rooms feature Wi-Fi and flat screen cable TVs, plus on-demand music and films. As well as the comforts afforded by the rooms themselves, guests at the Peabody Hotel are invited to take advantage of free tea and coffee at the hotel’s cafe each morning, and to make full use of the swimming pool and athletic club.

Peabody specials

Peabody Deli and Desserts is home to The Peabody Pastry Shop, offering a tempting array of gourmet goodies to try. The Peabody afternoon tea, meanwhile, is the only one in Memphis, and is served at Chez Philippe, Memphis’s most palatial dining venue. The latter also serves up timeless French dishes that are exceptional in execution. Capriccio Grill specialises in cooking fresh steaks, meats and seafood to perfection, as well as offering flavoursome plates of pasta. For after dinner drinks, the Peabody Corner and Lobby Bars mix up sublime martinis and cocktails. The former also offers a bar food menu, while the latter serves up the Pastry Shop’s desserts.

The Peabody Duck March

The Peabody Hotel is home to The Peabody Ducks, Memphis’s very own group of mallards that visit The Peabody Fountain twice daily during ‘The Peabody Duck March’. In honour of the hotel’s very special feathered friends, Chez Philippe - unusually for a French eatery - does not offer a duck dish anywhere on its menu.
