Relais Roncolo 1888

Relais Roncolo 1888

Relais Roncolo 1888 is a historic hideaway in the hills of Emilia, where the Food and Motor Valleys meet.

The century-old borgo, surrounded by organic land, was once a private residence of noble families and has been sympathetically restored to preserve its heritage, while also creating an elegant home away from home

Rooms and suites are located in three buildings: the seventeenth century Villa Manodori and its outbuildings Dimora Ancini and Dimora Acetaia. Stay in the seventeenth century Villa Manodori and you’ll find designer furniture and original frescoes. Sleep in a four poster bed and enjoy lovely views over the formal gardens. Cosy accommodation, including family suites, in the Dimora Ancini and Dimora Acetaia features wooden beams, natural fabrics and antiques.

The principles of biodiversity and regenerative agriculture underpin cuisine that also pays homage to the authentic taste and bounty of Italy’s famous Food Valley. The charming Ristorante Limonaia, in the historic greenhouse, offers the finest farm-to-table dining. Deepen your appreciation with wine tasting, balsamic tasting and cooking courses. Other experiences include horse riding, a guided city tour and driving a Ferrari on Modena’s racetrack.
