Taj Lake Palace

Taj Lake Palace

Arguably one of the best locations of any luxury hotel in the world, the phenomenal Taj Lake Palace is exactly that - a palace on a lake providing the ultimate luxury hotel destination. Floating majestically in the centre of the beautiful Lake Pichola, this vision of pure opulence will take your breath away. This special place demands and delivers flawless service, exemplary culinary delights, top-class service, and all of this looking out over the lake to the hills and mountains beyond.

Historic beauty

The Taj Lake Palace was built back in 1746 by the young prince Maharana Jagat Singh II of Udaipur as his very own palace. Today it boasts 65 palatial rooms and 18 suites of pure grandeur, each one supplying you with breathtaking views. The décor in each of the suites or rooms is remarkable, with stunning deep, rich colours hugging the huge collection of Indian textiles and luxurious furniture from around the world that make up these wonderfully living spaces.

Regal gastronomy

As with everything else in these mesmerising surroundings even the food is a thing of beauty. Fine-dining in the Neel Kamel restaurant is an event within itself. Overlooking the pretty lily pond and surrounded by regal beauty, the Mewari chefs produce food to the highest-order, showcasing the cuisine of Rajasthani and North West frontier.

No trip here would be complete without dining at Bhairo. On the very top of the Taj Lake Palace hotel is the outdoor dining room. A wonderfully romantic setting looking out across the lake whilst talented chefs offer a wide range of European dishes to delight you as the sun sets on this remarkable place.

Endless luxury

You cannot help but feel like royalty in this setting. The Indian hospitality here is amongst the best in the world. The glorious Jiva Spa looks out towards the Aravalli mountains, allowing you all that visual beauty as the pampering begins. There is a plethora of local treatments and massages to choose from allowing your mind and body to become one in a truly heavenly setting at Taj Lake Palace
