The Datai Langkawi

The Datai Langkawi

There’s more reason to visit this delightful, tropical hotel than ever before, as it has recently been treated to a major refurbishment. Situated in the heart of the rainforest, there are also perfect beaches close by. The Datai Langkawi boasts an unbeatable location, with beautiful rooms and breathtaking views.

Sleeping in style

Choose from a wide range of rooms, suites and villas at The Datai Langkawi. This five-star resort offers Canopy rooms and suites, or you can opt for a Rainforest or Beach villa. Look out over the rainforest from the balcony of a Canopy Deluxe or Premium room, or enjoy a refreshing dip in your own 10-metre swimming pool at a Rainforest Pool Villa. Ultimate luxury awaits you at the Beach Villas, with rain showers and walk-in-wardrobes. Selected Beach Villas boast full butler service, as well as a generous deck and outdoor dining area.

Decadent dining

If you’re after a flavour of South East Asia, the Datai has two award-winning restaurants set in the rainforest. You can sample some of Malaysia’s finest dishes at The Gulai House, or treat yourself to Thai at The Pavilion. If you’d prefer to dine by the water, there’s The Dining Room by the pool, or relax with a slice of pizza by the sea at The Beach Club restaurant and bar. At The Lobby Lounge you’re spoilt for choice, with views of both the rainforest and Andaman sea - where Tarutao Island looms on the horizon.

Flora and Fauna

Catch a glimpse of the Great Hornbill from The Dining Room or pool, or spot Tokay Geckos, a Malaysian Flying Lemur or Dusky Leaf Monkey during your stay in the ten million-year-old rainforest. A pristine white-sand beach can be reached via a private path from the resort, or enjoy a luxurious, holistic experience at the spa.
