Fairmont Royal Pavilion

Fairmont Royal Pavilion

Just a 45-minute journey from Barbados Airport, the Fairmont Royal Pavilion is the only luxury hotel on the Platinum Coast located directly on the beach.

Accommodation

In 2017, a multimillion-dollar renovation was completed to enhance the hotel’s guest rooms, so you can expect ultra-modern interiors and top-class facilities. The luxury rooms feature elegant beige and taupe décor to reflect the hotel’s beachfront landscape, while the handcrafted woodwork and local artwork create a welcoming and inspiring ambience. Each room also includes sweeping sea views and private outdoor decks with day beds.

Dining and drinking

When it comes to food and drink, the Fairmont Royal Pavilion certainly won’t disappoint. The highly-skilled chefs serve dishes made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. You can dine alfresco in the Taboras restaurant, or have a laid-back seaside lunch at the Beach Club. For more formal dining, eat at the Palm Terrace Restaurant. Alternatively, you can have sumptuous meals served directly to your room and enjoy a complimentary traditional afternoon tea.

When the sun goes down, pull up a seat at the Bar at Taboras and sample some of the signature cocktails made from local rum.

First-class amenities

The Fairmont Royal Pavilion offers first-class amenities and activities. Keep fit in the fitness room, swim with turtles in the sea or take a dip in the hotel pool. There’s a wide range of non-motorised sports available too, including kayaking, snorkelling, paddle boarding and windsurfing. If you prefer to keep your feet firmly on dry land, there’s floodlit tennis courts, where you can take lessons with the hotel’s resident tennis pro.

For those who want to be pampered, spa services are offered in your room. Choose from a wide selection of exquisite treatments and holistic healing services such as reiki and reflexology.

The Fairmont Royal Pavilion is the perfect place to stay if you seek top-class service, delicious food and blissful surroundings.

How to get there
The frequency of flights to Barbados reflects the island’s unwavering popularity, with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic flying at least daily from Gatwick. The non-stop flying time is about 8 hours 30 minutes, the option of upgrading to the premium cabins, including First, making the journey almost (but not quite!) as pleasurable as the stay.
