The Residence Zanzibar

The Residence Zanzibar

Strolling leisurely through tropical gardens leading towards an idyllic powder soft sandy beach, lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, you may be forgiven for thinking you are in paradise. Occupying 32 hectares of lush forest on the Spice Island of Zanzibar, and with a stunning mile-long beach, The Residence Zanzibar is the ultimate blend of modern luxury, exotic history and multi-faceted cultural influences.

Luxurious private villas, pools and gardens

Relaxing on the lounge deck of your beautifully appointed, spacious villa overlooking your own private pool and its manicured gardens, you cannot fail to be seduced by the special atmosphere of this extraordinary resort, where the only difficult choice is which activity to opt for. Choose to swim in the glorious glass-walled infinity pool, enjoy uninterrupted sea views from an umbrella shaded lounger, play tennis or volleyball, or go deep sea fishing or diving with dolphins.

Unwind and relax

An oasis of serenity, The Spa features a serene relaxation area with a whirlpool, sauna and steam room and six heavenly treatment rooms. Treatments designed by British spa brand ‘ila’ harness the healing and wellbeing benefits of organic natural plant and mineral ingredients, giving you the opportunity to relax and unwind.

To further enhance your wellbeing, try a yoga class in the alfresco pavilion, watch a dramatic sunset from The Jetty's lounge bar, or take a trip through the delightful gardens on the bicycles that are provided with each of the Zanzibar luxury villas.

Exotic mix of cultures

The eclectic mix of Swahili, Omani, British and Indian heritage comes together deliciously in the resort's two restaurants. The Dining Room specialises in international dishes, albeit with more than a hint of Zanzibar spice, while Indian, Arabic and Mediterranean influences flavour your gastronomic experience at The Pavilion Restaurant. This is truly an island paradise.
