The Setai

The Setai

In the tropical, coastal city of Miami is The Setai Miami, an Asian inspired retreat offering Far Eastern style decor and Mediterranean and Asian food with a signature twist. The on-site spa uses French products with Japanese influences, and rituals whose roots are based in Bali, Thailand and even Nepal.

Ocean art deco

In true Florida style, suites at The Setai Miami are grouped as Art Deco or Ocean Suites. Space is used to breathtaking effect, with features such as padded, banquette seating set along the interior walls and black granite bathtubs as well as rainfall showers. The Asian-style decor in the Art Deco Suites creates a smart, sophisticated and soothing space, while views encompass either the pool and courtyard, Miami’s art deco architecture, or even South Beach. Ocean Suites are more spacious, featuring sleek, modern decor with Asian touches, and come complete with sound bars, Nespresso machines and Apple TV.

From Asia to the Med

The Ocean Grill is the perfect venue for a spot of al fresco dining, offering grilled dishes as well as Mediterranean specialities to enjoy on its spacious outdoor beachside deck. This boasts 360-degree views of water thanks to the Atlantic Ocean and the hotel’s three infinity pools. Jaya at The Setai serves up dishes with a strong Asian influence, making use of exotic ingredients including kaffir lime, wasabi, oyster mushrooms and wagyu beef in its dishes. Fresh seafood is heavily featured on the menu, while meats are presented as a Thai or Indian style curry. If you love noodles, sample Jaya’s Pad Thai, or try Nasi Goreng, a rice dish from Indonesia.

Revitalising ceremonies

The Spa by Themae continues to use Asian influences, with treatments from facials to massages or specialised ‘ceremonies’ drawing on traditional Thai, Nepalese and Indonesian rituals. Emerge completely relaxed while feeling utterly refreshed and revitalised.
